Preston advises a diverse range of technology businesses, including cryptocurrency miners and stakers, decentralized protocol developers, hedge funds and other institutional investors, money services businesses, custom software development shops, and social networks, in the United States and overseas, on corporate law issues including formation and capital raising, commercial contracts, and regulatory advice.
Preston previously served as a cofounder and chief operations officer of an early enterprise blockchain startup where he advised on a full range of startup legal issues. He and his team designed blockchain prototypes for a number of leading global companies including tier 1 global banks, global consulting firms, and the R3 interbank technology consortium. Prior to this, Preston was an associate with a Global 100 law firm’s London office, where he worked on securitization and debt finance matters.
Preston was named #57 on a list of the “Top 100 people in Crypto and Blockchain” by the industry publication CoinTelegraph for the year 2020.
