Ms. Al-Shibib joined Anderson Kill as a Summer Associate in 2001 and after graduating returned to the firm as an associate in September of 2002. After a hiatus in the United States Peace Corps, working with the indigenous Kaliago people in the Commonwealth of Dominica, Ms. Al-Shibib returned to Anderson Kill in April 2012.
An experienced litigator in both federal and state courts, Ms. Al-Shibib focuses her practice on insurance recovery, real estate and construction matters, and bankruptcy/corporate financial restructurings. She often advises clients on the interplay between these practice areas and has experience in general commercial litigation and federal securities law. Her clients have included Fortune 500 companies, hedge funds, banking and lending institutions, construction services companies and developers, and state and governmental entities. She is co-chair of Anderson Kill's Women's Network.
Ms. Al-Shibib holds a J. D. from Brooklyn Law School and a B.A. cum laude from Connecticut College. She is admitted to practice in New York.
Mr. Walsh joined Anderson Kill in September 2011 and advises entrepreneurs, emerging companies, family offices and private equity investors with respect to mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, shareholder arrangements and corporate governance. His practice spans a variety of industries, including financial services, construction, alternative energy, e-commerce, biotech, and restaurants. He also provides counsel to clients relating to captive insurance matters, including formation, licensing and ownership structures.
Mr. Walsh holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, an M.B.A. from F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, and a B.A. from
Georgetown University. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York.
