Anderson Kill is honored to be recognized by Business Insurance as Legal Insurance Team of the Year for the third time in four years since the award incepted. The 2021 Business Insurance U.S. Insurance Awards recognize excellence in the commercial insurance and risk management sector, highlighting exceptional work by insurance professionals working at companies across the commercial insurance industry. Winners are selected by a panel of more than 50 risk managers who independently assess all finalists and score all teams in each category.
As Robert M. Horkovich, Anderson Kill's managing shareholder and co-chair of the firm's Insurance Recovery Group stated, “Advancing policyholder rights is our passion at Anderson Kill. We have a deep bench of talented lawyers throughout America, pushing the envelope to make sure the claims are paid as they should be.” (View the Anderson Kill award acceptance here.)
Anderson Kill has represented policyholders in insurance coverage disputes for some 40 years. Business Insurance has bestowed this prestigious award on the firm's Insurance Recovery Group three times over in the last four years since the award incepted -- a testament to the hard work, experience and know-how of the firm's attorneys.
Business Insurance's awards program was created in 2018 to help fund the BI Scholarship Endowment, designed to provide opportunities to risk management and insurance students through scholarships, as well as grants to support existing risk management and insurance programs and to develop programming at universities without risk management degree programs, including historically black colleges and universities. Finalists were selected by senior Business Insurance staff from nominations submitted to the publication, and winners were chosen by a panel of risk managers.
