Mr. Palley has represented owners, general contractors, construction managers and others in connection with insurance transactions and litigation involving construction projects valued at tens of billions of dollars throughout the United States. He has handled litigation of construction insurance and other insurance disputes in state and federal courts across the United States, along with a broad range of commercial litigation, products liability and other matters.
In addition to representing clients in litigation, Mr. Palley works with technology clients on an array of issues associated with business creation, software and other product design, licensing, development and ideation, as well as ongoing risk management and avoidance. Conversant in software development, he is able to help technology clients shape their products in concert with legal requirements and strategies. Engagements have varied from digital advertising platforms to advising on blockchain based business solutions. On the insurance front, his technological know-how equips him to help clients manage cyber risk and obtain appropriate cyber insurance protection.
Mr. Palley is a fellow of the American College of Coverage and Extra Contractual Counsel, an invitation-only association of preeminent insurance coverage lawyers with a minimum of 15 years practice experience. He has been recognized as a Washington, D.C. "Super Lawyer" in Construction Litigation.
A regular speaker and writer on construction insurance-related topics, he is the lead editor and contributing author of Construction Insurance and contributing author of Fundamentals of Construction Law, treatises published by the ABA Forum on the Construction Industry.
