Mr. Wolff advises policyholders on issues relating to coverage, exclusions, subrogation, defense, indemnity and bad faith in property, casualty, and Directors & Officers liability insurance matters. He represents property owners, contractors and subcontractors, retailers, financial institutions, hospitality businesses, condominium associations and tenants' associations on a full range of property, construction and engineering defect, contract and insurance coverage disputes. He has also litigated a wide array of commercial, employment and intellectual property matters. He comes to Anderson Kill from Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP.
Mr. Wolff is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation only honorary society of trial lawyers. He is also a 2012 and 2013 New York Super Lawyer and is rated "AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Wolff is a frequent lecturer on Federal practice and procedure, complex construction law, and insurance coverage issues.
For many years prior to his move to New York in 2008, Mr. Wolff was a partner at Carlsmith Ball LLP, a preeminent Pacific Rim firm based in Hawaii. Before becoming a lawyer, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army for more than five years, including three years as a paratrooper. A retired Colonel in the Army Reserve, Mr. Wolff graduated from the Army's senior leadership program at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, PA, where he earned a Master's Degree in Strategic Studies. Mr. Wolff also holds a J.D. from Albany Law School Union University and a B.A. from Cornell University. He is admitted to practice in New York, Hawaii and Washington, D.C.
