Current Issues in Employment Law

DATE: Thursday, August 20, 2020

TIME: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

VENUE: Live Webinar

ORGANIZER: Anderson Kill

During this webinar we will focus on two different areas:

1) “Ten things to Consider When Terminating an Employee.”  Even with an improving economy post Pandemic, new and broader legal protections for employees create additional potential sources of liability for employers, who are now considering terminating or laying off employees.

2) “How Employers Can Prevent and Defend Sexual Harassment Claims.”  In the current surge of awareness and claims, settled practices may not be enough. We will examine what employers should do when sexual harassment claims land and will outline how to create an environment in which unwanted advances are less likely to happen -- and are dealt with fairly and effectively when they do.
