New Jersey has enacted laws to protect victims of crimes. The New Jersey State Constitution provides protection for victims of crimes in the Victims’ Rights Amendment. The Crime Victims Bill of Rights is codified at N.J.S.A. 52:4B-36. In addition, there are laws pertaining to stalking, parole, Megan’s law, and more.

NJICLE has gathered some of our state’s most recognized advocates for crime victims to discuss this diverse area of law. Our panel has prepared a program that will impart much wisdom to both experienced and new attorneys on the fascinating and not often spoken about topic of recourse available to crime victims for trauma, physical pain, emotional pain and more.
