Please join Deborah Koplovitz, Shareholder with Anderson Kill's New York office, for a deep dive into state, city and federal laws that address housing discrimination.
The framework of the New York City Administrative Code, the New York State Executive Law and the federal Fair Housing Amendments Act will be explained. We will also apply these laws to various situations to help you gain a better understanding of the legal environment, to test your knowledge and to make you aware of possible concerns when issues arise.
We will address topics such as intentional discrimination in the context of a Pullman proceeding, reasonable accommodation requests for service animals and emotional support animals, access issues involving ramps and elevators, and discrimination claims in response to rules a building may not intend to be discriminatory.
There will also be time for questions and answers.
