The in-house counsel's role in helping the corporation identify insurable business risks, evaluating and placing appropriate insurance coverage, and responding to claims.  The panel will discuss corporate vulnerabilities corporate counsel typically identify when negotiating contract terms and deals, hiring third-party suppliers and vendors, overseeing service agreements, or responding to investigations or lawsuits.  The panel will also explain how in-house counsel can guide the company in ensuring that those risks are managed and mitigated with appropriate business insurance coverage, including types of insurance, how to determine if coverage is adequate, and best practices for evaluating and responding to claims.
