DATE: Wednesday, September 21, 2016

TIME: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

VENUE: Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, 55 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY

ORGANIZER: Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law

Discussions will include issues that cooperative and condominium boards often face, and how we, as general counsel to many cooperatives and condominiums, help the boards deal with those issues and provide good governance for their buildings.  Among the topics which will be addressed are the powers of the board, the business judgment rule’s protection of board decisions, preventing breaches of fiduciary duties, troublemaking residents, communicating with residents, discrimination claims, and responding to requests to alter apartments.
