Eugene R. Anderson is the founding member of Anderson Kill. "Business Insurance" has designated Mr. Anderson as one of the people who have had the greatest impact on property and casualty insurance over the past 20 years. Mr. Anderson has long been and is often described as the 'dean of policyholders' attorneys." The American Lawyer has described Mr. Anderson as "a brand name specialist for policyholders." Even a leading insurance association has touted Mr. Anderson as being "perhaps the most celebrated counsel representing insureds." Since 2007, Mr. Anderson has been named in Best Lawyers for insurance law.
Mr. Anderson is a former Assistant United States Attorney and a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles, Harvard Law School, and New York University School of Law.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the New York City Mayor's Task Force on Automobile Insurance, Chairperson of the amicus committee of United Policyholders, Director of Citizens Against Unfair Insurance Practices, and is a Director of the Police Athletic League. Mr. Anderson has written numerous articles about insurance coverage issues. His writings have appeared in law reviews and trade publications, and Mr. Anderson is a frequent lecturer on insurance matters. Mr. Anderson is also the co-author of a two-volume treatise entitled Insurance Coverage Litigation.
Mr. Anderson is rated "AV," the top rating, by his peers as listed in Martindale Hubbell.
